Hyatt Network Operations Center (NOC) Administrator in CHICAGO, Illinois

Job Summary: The Network Operations Center (NOC) Administrator will provide 24 X 7 x 365 support, monitoring of all Hyatt’s critical systems. Act as a subject matter expert on all things related to monitoring high uptime applications, hardware and data center operations. Ability to intelligently monitor and diagnose events and gaps in the environment from both a best practice and Hyatt standpoint. Communicate with different groups across the business to achieve successful completion of projects that meet the standards of all parties. Read, write and follow procedures with little to no supervision. Additional responsibilities are as follows:

Responsiblities - Monitoring, maintenance and diagnostics of Hyatt assets. - Performs trend analysis on monitoring alarms using incident reports and service tickets to resolve identified issues. - Maintain channels of communication with Application owners to ensure prompt technical support of any and all monitoring related problems. - Identify, create and complete projects related to monitoring Hyatt assets and applications within company and team standards. - Provide KB/SOP documentation and training to NOC Technicians related to monitoring tools. - Must be open to working an On-Call After Hours Support Rotation if needed.

Qualifications:

Experience/Technical skills: - 5 years progressive experience in a NOC, IT Operations, or Tier 2/Tier 3 Technical Engineer role - Strong project management experience - Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills - Adaptable and have intellecutal ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-moving and customer focused environment. - Have the ability to perform analysis, define new processes and drive technology initiatives and projects. -Required: Certification in System Center Operations Manager -Required: experience scripting, coding, creating customized alerts based on team requirements - Preferred experience with New Relic and Splunk. - Preferred experience with corporate wide Paging tool - Preferred but not required Certified in ITIL Foundations v3 or equivalent. - Preferred but not required experience in developing and executing a well-defined approach to implementing change in a Global environment.
