Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont’Kiara- will mark the first Hyatt House hotel in Malaysia and South East Asia. Located in Mont’Kiara, an affluent suburb located five km from downtown Kuala Lumpur, the hotel will feature approximately 298 guestrooms, a three-meal restaurant, 3,100 square feet of meeting space, a fitness centre, and a sky pool. Scheduled to open in 2018, the hotel will be part of a larger mixed use development, Arcoris Mont’Kiara, which will feature business suites, small home offices (“SoHo”), residential units, and a retail plaza.

We are currently looking for an experienced Lead Host – Material to join us in this exciting journey with the first Hyatt House in South East Asia.
This position reports directly to the Hotel Manager – Finance & Administration.
An individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and a prominent member within the industry, you will be confident and driven in your approach. You are business savvy and are known for your ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels, are detail orientated and must be able to problem-solve with employees and guests. Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and be constantly hands on and ready to lend expertise within other departments of the hotel.

Key Qualifications and requirements:
Select suppliers impartially based on cost, ability to meet product specifications, efficiency and quality of their operations, delivery on a timely basis as required and ability to source goods locally to avoid lengthy importation delays.
Actively encourage networking with other Hyatt hotels in the region (where possible) when negotiating supplier contracts to optimize terms and conditions on behalf of the hotel.
Conduct regular inspections of incoming goods for weight, quality and quantity, minimum and maximum stock levels, reordering size, and delivery lead time etc to enable efficient inventory management.
Prepare and process any import declarations and licenses required. Ensure Customs Duty had paid on time for imported items and the food items are fulfill with Halal certification.
Analyse market trends to anticipate likely price fluctuations, for the purpose of maintaining inventory either for long or short time periods.
Liaise with user departments to ensure that requirements regarding quality and service from the supplier are being satisfied. Maintains continuous communication with all Departments to understand operational requirements.
