Hyatt Team Leader - Stewarding in MELBOURNE, Australia
Award-winning luxury hotel, Park Hyatt Melbourne seeks an organised and outgoing individual to join the Stewarding team on a full-time basis.
With the support of the Manager – Stewarding, you will be responsible for assisting with the smooth and efficient running of the department through the supervision of staff and in accordance with the established brand standards of Hyatt International . You will assist and guide the stewards with washing, cleaning and stocking of operating equipment and kitchen utensils while ensuring a clean and sanitary work environment in the kitchen and stewarding areas is maintained at all times. You will also be responsible for providing an excellent and consistent level of service to internal customers while fostering a positive and productive work environment for the Stewarding team.
The role does not involve any food preparation, though on occasion, you may be required to assist the chefs with plate-up.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Previous work experience in a similar environment (will be advantageous).
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively motivate, lead, train, guide and direct staff. * Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage your time.
* Some administration experience along with sound computer skills. * The ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of five star grooming standards. * The flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
