The Director of Group Sales is an experienced senior level hotel sales role that reports directly to the Director of Commercial Strategy. Responsibilities include managing and leading the sales staff as well as managing select key accounts. The DOGS responsibilities include but are not limited to the mentoring and training sales staff, recruitment and hiring of sales staff, assist in leading sales meetings, working with Event and Event Sales, involvement with the annual business plan process, forecasting, owners meetings, systems training, report analysis, P&L management, business travel and tradeshows, customer entertainment, community involvement and networking. This position may be required to serve as DOCS in the absence of the Director of Commercial Strategy.

- A minimum of 3-5 years current sales leadership experience, proficient in general computer knowledge, supervisory experience, and able to train and monitor the process of sending referrals, setting traces and profiling accounts. Excellent customer relations, communication, presentation and organization skills of utmost importance.
- Must have experience in a large, group & convention hotel with a strong understanding of the incentive market as well as space management.
